The term pulling rig is often used interchangeably with workover rig or service rig, depending on the region. But no matter what you call them, these rigs are vital to oilfield efficiency.

⚙️ What pulling rigs do:

  • Remove and replace tubing and rods

  • Assist in well stimulation

  • Support plug and abandonment procedures

  • Conduct zonal isolation

  • Perform downhole repairs

These rigs are used after drilling to maintain and optimize the well throughout its production cycle. In Canada, the term “service rig” is most common, while “workover” and “pulling rigs” are used more often in the U.S.

Rigmax carries a variety of pulling rigs suited for all types of well servicing operations.
